PSA Agusan Norte to conduct the Q2 Livestock and Poultry Survey
BUTUAN CITY -- The Provincial Statistics Office (PSO) of Agusan del Norte recently conducted the provincial level training for Livestock and Poultry Survey: Establishment (LPS: E) and Livestock and Poultry Survey: Household (LPS:H) for the second quarter of 2025.
The training aimed to ensure a uniform understanding of concepts and the accuracy of responses from the sample during data collection and processing by the hired statistical researchers (SRs).
The LPS:E data collection is scheduled for the last ten days of June 2025 and will cover 58 establishments, while the LPS:H will be conducted during the first seven days of July 2025, covering 225 sample households engaged in livestock and/or poultry for breeding and food consumption.
These surveys aim to generate estimates on inventory, number of animals disposed, average farmgate price, egg production of poultry animals, milk production of dairy animals, and other related data on farm animals from household and establishment in the livestock and poultry industry.
The data generated from the survey are inputs to the value of production of agriculture and accordingly to the computation of the gross domestic product (GDP). Moreover, the survey supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector. AIl information collected by the hired SRs and/or field supervisors from sample farmers shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for taxation, investigation or regulation as provided under Article 55 or Republic Act 10625.
