PSA Agusan Norte to conduct Q2 Crops Production Survey
BUTUAN CITY -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Agusan del Norte recently conducted the provincial-level training for the second quarter 2025 Crops Production Survey (CrPS) for both Household and Establishment. The CrPS is a quarterly survey designed to generate data on the volume of production, area planted or harvested, number of bearing trees/hills/vines, and farmgate prices of crops other than palay and corn. The results of this survey serve as direct inputs to the Value of Production in Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries and contribute to the computation of the gross domestic product (GDP).
To carry out this activity, PSA Agusan del Norte hired six statistical researchers (SRs) who will collect data from 360 sample households and five establishments across Butuan City and Agusan del Norte. These SRs underwent training on 9 to 10 June at the PSA Provincial Statistics Office. Data collection will be conducted from 17 to 30 June 2025, using the computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) method.
PSA Agusan del Norte strongly encourages all selected households and establishments to actively participate and provide accurate and honest responses. The information collected will play a vital role in policy formulation and development planning, ultimately supporting national and local economic growth.
The agency assures respondents that all information gathered by the SRs will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or regulation, in accordance with Article 55 of Republic Act No. 10625.
