DAR Agusan Sur capacitates personnel on effective project implementation
AGUSAN DEL SUR -- In its continuous pursuit of excellence and service, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Agusan del Sur conducted a capacity-building activity titled, “Strengthening Capacities of Contract of Service (COS) personnel on Agrarian Reform Implementation from Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) to Project Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT),” on June 9.
The activity gathered DAR survey teams, Redocumentation Completion Teams (RCTs), legal officers, and other COS personnel at the DAR Provincial Office to reinforce their knowledge and understanding of DAR’s core functions and the landmark on Project SPLIT.
The one-day training was enriched with insights from seasoned DAR personnel, starting with Provincial Chief Administrative Officer (PCAO) Jeliza A. Ursos who provided an overview of DAR’s mandates, mission, vision, and basic organizational information.
She also tackled crucial topics such as employee relations, discipline, and an in-depth discussion on Project SPLIT.
Personnel Officer Lorei Mae Delos Santos engaged the participants with a session on organizational nanagement and emphasized the importance of employee health, safety, and wellness—a vital reminder that the well-being of personnel is key to efficient public service.
The ethical foundation of government work was addressed by Provincial Information Officer Justin Riel Caberos, who presented the Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. She also clarified guidelines on work schedules to ensure alignment with government protocols.
On the operational side, Records Officer Dhel Hosna Yyain M. Panggo gave a comprehensive lecture on records management, highlighting its importance in ensuring transparency and accountability in the delivery of services.
General Services Chief Ruby Jane Salvado discussed the vital role of the General Services Division in supporting the various operational needs of DAR teams. Her presentation opened the floor for dialogue, where participants raised logistical concerns which were duly noted for action and resolution.
Culminating the activity, Provincial Chief Administrative Officer (PARPO) I Rudy S. Solomon delivered a heartfelt message, emphasizing the significance of the training in deepening the participants’ understanding of the department and the Project SPLIT initiative.
He reminded everyone that their role in the implementation of agrarian reform is crucial, and that empowering COS personnel ensures the success of DAR’s mission to uplift the lives of agrarian reform beneficiaries.
