In a heartfelt post on his official social media account, Rep. Momo expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying, “It is a great honor to receive this recognition as chairperson of the Committee on Public Works and Highways.”

The veteran lawmaker emphasized that the award reflected not just his personal achievement but the collective aspirations and struggles of the people he serves. “Ini na pasidungog dili lamang para kanako, kundi para sa matag Pilipino nga padayon natong gisilbihan, labi na gayud ang akong mga kaigsoonan nga Surigaonon dinhi sa Surigao del Sur (This honor is not only for me, but for every Filipino whom we continue to serve, especially my fellow Surigaonons here in Surigao del Sur)," Momo added.

Under his leadership, the committee actively pushed for legislative measures and infrastructure programs aimed at boosting national development, improving accessibility, and uplifting the lives of Filipinos, particularly in far-flung and underserved areas.

Momo also extended his heartfelt appreciation to his constituents for their continued support and trust, reaffirming his commitment to public service. “Daghang salamat sa inyong pagsalig ug suporta. Para sa bayan, para sa Surigao del Sur! Padayon ang serbisyo! (Thank you very much for your trust and support. For the nation, for Surigao del Sur! The service continues!),” he concluded.

Momo’s steadfast leadership has played a pivotal role in securing vital funding and advancing key infrastructure initiatives throughout Surigao del Sur. From road enhancements and flood control projects to the establishment of school and multi-purpose buildings, his efforts have significantly strengthened the province’s development, connectivity, and disaster resilience, laying a strong foundation for sustainable progress and improved quality of life for his constituents.
