DILG Caraga orients on Full Disclosure Policy
BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga conducted the calendar year (CY) 2025 Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) Orientation via Zoom platform.
The virtual event gathered FDP focal persons from regional, provincial, and local government units (LGUs) across Caraga, demonstrating the region’s continued commitment to transparency and accountability in local governance.
The orientation was honored by the presence of DILG Caraga Director Maria Loisella E. Lucino, CESO IV; and Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) Chief Ray Gregory F. Jaranilla.
In her welcome message, Dir. Lucino underscored the value of integrity and openness in managing public resources and making decisions that directly impact communities. She emphasized that compliance with the FDP is not only a legal mandate, but also a prerequisite for accessing national government funding and receiving various awards and recognitions.
The technical session was led by Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) IV France Kristel Rapanut, FDP national focal person from the Bureau of Local Government Supervision (BLGS).
She provided a comprehensive overview of the Full Disclosure Policy, detailing the required forms, key documents, prescribed posting periods, and the validation process, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge to ensure full compliance.
As a follow-through activity, an online simulation exercise on the use of the FDP portal took place on June 3. This session strengthened the technical capacity of LGUs in using the portal for accurate and timely disclosure of financial documents.
The DILG Caraga remains steadfast in its advocacy for good governance, transparency, and accountability through sustained capacity-building and support to LGUs. (DILG Caraga/PIA Caraga)
