COMELEC trains election board of canvassers in Dinagat Islands

BUTUAN CITY -- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in the Province of Dinagat Islands headed by Provincial Election Supervisor Hazel Ivory R. Laud-Begyan conducted a two-day training of the members of the provincial and municipal Board of Canvassers (BOC) and designated operators of the Consolidated Canvassing System (CCS) on April 9 – 10, held at the Almont Resort, Lipata, Surigao City.

The comprehensive training equipped the participants, who will be assigned to every canvassing center in the province, on how to effectively and efficiently perform their duties and functions in the upcoming May 12 National and Local Elections.

The Department of Education (DepEd) Dinagat Islands Schools Division Superintendent Florence E. Almaden was also in attendance as support to the activity. (RLE, PIA Dinagat Islands)
