SSS eWheels goes to Agusan Norte

BUTUAN CITY – The Social Security System (SSS) recently brought its eWheels services to rural farming and fishing communities in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte to assist more than 200 local farmers and fishermen in their SSS transactions, helping them recognize the significance of their SSS membership.

SSS Acting Vice President for Mindanao North Division Benigno J. Dagani Jr. said that the SSS eWheels Program is a crucial initiative that helps SSS deliver government services to communities in the countryside.

“Our goal is to bring SSS services closer to your communities, making it easier for you to conduct your SSS transactions. We are here to support you so you could continue your SSS membership or become an SSS member,” Dagani added.

He shared that SSS Butuan Branch facilitated the more than 400 SSS transactions of local residents of the town, including the updating of their member records, registration on the My.SSS Portal, enrollment of their disbursement account, generation of Payment Reference Number (PRN) for contribution and loan payments, and online submission of their benefit applications.

He explained that SSS eWheels travels to remote barangays since SSS vehicles are equipped with laptops and have branch personnel to provide services to members in grassroots communities.

“We express our gratitude to the local government of Buenavista for their constant support to government agencies like SSS in bringing essential services to their constituents,” he noted. (SSS Butuan-Agusan del Norte/PIA Agusan del Norte)
