TESDA scholars in Agusan Sur receive financial support
AGUSAN DEL SUR -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority
(TESDA) Agusan del Sur disbursed the training support fund amounting to
P156,649 for scholars pursuing a three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering
Technology, and another fund of P123,110 for scholars enrolled in a three-year
diploma in Civil Construction Technology under the Universal Access to Quality
Tertiary Education program.
The distribution took place during the “Handog ng Pangulo: Sebisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” held at the Datu Lipus Makapandong Cultural Center in Patin-ay, Prosperidad on Friday, September 13.
Scholars were all smiles as they expressed their gratitude to TESDA and the provincial government for the constant support extended to them.
Provincial Dir. Remegias Timonio of TESDA - Agusan del Sur also emphasized that the objective of the program is to equip graduates with a diverse set of skills.
“Over the course of 3 years of education, they can acquire multiple skills leading to the attainment of 10 national certifications,” he explained.
The beneficiaries of the initiatives are students of the Agusan del Sur School of Arts and Trades (ASSAT) located in Patin-ay, Prosperidad. (PPIO-Agusan del Sur/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
