LGU-Trento welcomes new SK officials
BUTUAN CITY -- A ceremonial oath-taking of the newly elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials was held Monday, November 13, 2023, as facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) -Trento in Agusan del Sur.
Municipal local government operations officer (MLGOO), Jorem Luzon, also administered the conduct of the orientation of the Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan on November 14, 2023.
This mandatory training equipped the SK officials on the fundamentals of their duties and functions in the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC).
Conducted thereafter was the election of SK Federation officials as stipulated in the amendment to Section 22 of the revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 10742.
In addition, there were also officials appointed for special action committees to place emphasis on the 10 centers of participation of SK.
The newly-elected SK Federation officials took their oath of office in the presence of the Trento Mayor William Calvez, as a rite to vouch for public service. (LGU-Trento/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
