LGU-Bayugan City launches “Hini-usang Serbisyo Alang sa Bayuganon” 2023

BAYUGAN CITY, Agusan del Sur -- The Local Government Unit   of Bayugan City officially launch the Bayugan City-On-Wheels with the theme, “Hini-usang Serbisyo Alang sa Bayuganon” 2023, keeping its prime purpose of  bringing the basic quality LGU services closer to the Bayuganons, in time with the 39th birthday celebration of the Local Chief Exevutive Kirk A. Asis on February 6, 2023.

Mayor Asis recognized the efforts and accomplishments of the employees behind the success of the Bayugan City-on-Wheels for the past years, and welcomed the launch of the 2023 version during the LGU's regular Flag Raising Ceremony.

“I would like to thank God for giving me another year of existence. Let us show the love for our fellow Bayuganons. I am delighted to welcome you all to the launch of the Bayugan City-On-Wheels “Hini-usang Serbisyo Alang sa Bayuganon” 2023. As you know, the Bayugan City-On-Wheels started in 2015 through the genuine collaboration of all local and national offices,” said Asis.

“I would like to give emphasis that through this program, our goal for 2023 remains the same: to bring basic quality LGU services closer to the Bayuganons. To recall, during the campaign, I asked for your votes by going to majority of your homes, at your doorsteps. This time, this program will bring me and my team back to your residences through house-to-house visitation to every purok of each barangay scheduled for the said program, and on the second day will be the provision of health services, a conduct of open forum and the distribution of food packs. This house-to-house scheme is designed especially for those people with disabilities. For LGU to truly function, no one should be left behind,” the LCE bared.

Asis further said that he is confident that the LGU will sustain this program for the benefit of the Bayuganons who will make lasting contributions to poverty reduction.

“Let me conclude by thanking all of you, especially the employees for the success of  Bayugan City-on-Wheels for the past years. And the best way to respond to this success is to work even more and harder. Together, let us continue working because all of us play a significant role in delivering better public services to each Bayuganon,” he said.

The public-school teachers and non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) – Bayugan City Division, headed by Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Imelda N. Sabornido, were also present during the said Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and joined the singing a birthday song to thd mayor and thereafter participated in the early morning zumba.

The Barangay Local Government Unit of Taglatawan served as the pilot barangay for the implementation of the Bayugan City-On-Wheels “Hini-usang Serbisyo Alang sa Bayuganon” 2023.

The different office heads gave information on the type of service available to the public and their specific official duties and responsibilities as the LCE always gives emphasis on the immediate delivery of services for the people of Bayugan.

The next Bayugan City-on-Wheels 2023 will be in Barangay Mt. Carmel. (George Jeffrey L. Tindoy/ Joseph Ian B. Onyot, LGU-Bayugan City/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
