According to Botona, the rest of the EBs, election paraphernalia, and documents for the remaining voting centers in the municipality of San Miguel will be dispatched at 2:00 AM on May 9, 2022, the election day.

All  Vote Counting Machine (VCMs) were  tested last May 6, 2022, Botona added. For the far-flung barangays the testing and sealing were done in Tina Elementary School in Barangay Tina, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur.

Meanwhile, it was noted from the past elections, that the municipality of San Miguel was the last to send its Election Returns (ERs) in Surigao del Sur province. There were notable delays in the submission of ERs due to no network coverage in some voting centers. The EBs accordingly need to travel the election returns to areas with network connection and send data to the canvassers of both municipal and provincial levels. (Nida Grace P.
