POPCOM-Caraga reinforces commitment to cut poverty

BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte -- The Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) – Caraga vows to continue its massive and coordinated campaign in the whole region in empowering couples and individuals to achieve their desired number and spacing of children based on their capability.

This will be POPCOM’s contribution to Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP).

In its 1st Quarter Convergence team meeting recently, POPCOM Caraga received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of the agency’s support and commitment during the EPAHP’s Capacity Building Activities in CY 2021. As one of the partner agencies, POPCOM Caraga has provided resource speakers to discuss Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning during the training conducted by EPAHP RPMO in 2021 to various community-based organizations (CBOs).

The said activity was a quarterly gathering of all EPAHP support, supply and demand partners. The meeting aims to strengthen the collaboration between the EPAHP partner agencies, evaluate all the EPAHP-related activities implemented in 2021 and address all the issues and challenges encountered during the implementation. Moreover, the activity intends to identify new areas of cooperation for CY 2022 based on their indicated commitments on the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). (Dian Joy L.
