FORECAST: The Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. These conditions may lead to possible flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also influenced by the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest, with slight to moderate seas (wave height between 0.6 to 2.1 meters).

AgNor bags top ADAC Award

BUTUAN CITY -- The Province of Agusan del Norte has been conferred with the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Award by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga for the years 2019-2020 in a ceremony conducted recently.

Provincial Vice-Governor Ramon A.G Bungabong received the award on behalf of the ADAC Chairperson Governor Dale B. Corvera during the Regional Awarding Ceremony held in one of the convention centers in Butuan City.

Among the municipalities in the province, Las Nieves town and the City of Cabadbaran got high functionality performance in 2020. The municipalities of Buenavista, Carmen, RTR and Las Nieves got the same in 2019.

The municipalities of Jabonga, Nasipit and Tubay were also awarded with the perfect score functionality performance in 2020, and Magallanes, Santiago, and Tubay in 2019. (Karen Kie Decamotan, LGU-Agusan del Norte/PIA-Agusan del Norte)
