DICT Caraga promotes use of eGovPH app for faster, safer public service transactions

By Nora L. Molde

BUTUAN CITY (PIA) — The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga is encouraging the public to download and register on the eGovPH app, a one-stop digital platform designed to make government transactions faster, safer, and more efficient.

During the Kapihan sa PIA held at SM City Butuan on October 21, Marku Paul P. Serrano, project development officer of DICT Caraga, emphasized the advantages of using the app, which integrates various national and local government online services into a single, easy-to-use platform.

“The eGovPH app allows citizens to conveniently access documents, pay fees, and process transactions without the need to visit multiple government offices,” Serrano said. “The initiative is also part of the government’s digital transformation program, which promotes ease of doing business and strengthens public service delivery through information and communications technology.”

Serrano assured users that data stored in the eGovPH app are protected and secure, as the app  follows strict data privacy and cybersecurity standards. He noted that several government agencies are currently in the process of system integration to ensure seamless access and interoperability of services within the platform.

Clyde Hikilan, a news reporter from Hope Radio Philippines, shared that he finds the app advantageous not only for faster transactions but also for staying updated on personal government contributions. “It’s very useful because we can now easily check our contributions in SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG anytime through the app,” Hikilan said.

Serrano encouraged the public to download the eGovPH app and enjoy the privileges it offers, highlighting that it provides safe, efficient, and unified digital government services designed to make citizens’ transactions more convenient and transparent. (NCLM, PIA Agusan del Norte)
