Surigao City PIO visits Misamis for benchmarking on public information work

SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte (PIA) -- To further improve its public information services, the Surigao City Public Information Office (PIO) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Misamis Oriental Provincial Information Office on August 1.

The team was received by Provincial Information Officer Joane Tabique and her staff. A courtesy visit was also made to the Provincial Governor’s Office, where the team met with Special Assistant to the Governor Celso Abucejo, representing Governor Juliette Uy.

Surigao City Information Officer Rhobie A. Ruaya said,  "The benchmarking session focused on how the Misamis Oriental PIO runs its day-to-day operations—from producing news content and audiovisual materials to managing technical services, live coverage, and community information drives."

"The visit offered a first-hand look at a working model of a local government information office that combines planning, creativity, and teamwork." Ruaya added.

PIO Joane Tabique thanked the Surigao City team for choosing their office as a benchmarking partner and expressed openness for future collaborations.

The activity marked another step in the continuing efforts of the Surigao City PIO to strengthen its capacity to inform and engage the public through better systems, closer partnerships, and improved content delivery. (Surigao City PIO/PIA Surigao del Norte)
