It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Esperanza police station in Agusan Sur receives new building

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- A significant milestone in public safety was marked recently with the blessing and turnover ceremony of the newly-constructed Esperanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) held in Barangay Poblacion, Esperanza, this province.

The event was attended by esteemed guests including the Municipal Mayor Deo P. Manpatilan Jr., Vice Mayor Eric Ray G. Siohan, members of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 Command Group led by Police Brigadier General (PBGen.) Christopher N. Abrahano, Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) Director Yahya Bustamante Yusup, and Supply Unit Chief Honey Faith D. Mamaril.

The ceremony commenced with an invocation by Rev. Fr. Jose R. Sincero, offering prayers for guidance, protection, and blessings upon the facility and its personnel.

PCpt. Saldy C. Maestre, officer-in-charge (OIC) of Esperanza MPS, delivered the welcome remarks, expressing gratitude to stakeholders and highlighting the new station’s role in enhancing police operations and community security.

Messages of support were delivered by Mayor Manpatilan and PNP  Caraga Director Abrahano, both commending the collaborative efforts of the local government, Philippine National Police (PNP), and the community in realizing the project.

A symbolic key turnover and the signing of the turnover and completion documents followed, signifying the station's formal acceptance and operational readiness.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by RD Abrahano, PD Yusup, Mayor Manpatilan, and Vice Mayor Siohan, followed by the unveiling of the station marker, commemorating the project's successful completion and the partnership that made it possible.

The event concluded with the blessing of the building by Rev. Fr. Sincero, invoking divine protection for the police officers who will serve in the new facility.

The ceremony was duly witnessed and covered by the PNP Press Corps Agusan del Sur and the local media.
