DepEd Dinagat Islands showcases innovation, best practices at Palarong Pambansa 2025
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — While the roar of the crowd echoed across courts and fields at the 2025 Palarong Pambansa, a quieter yet equally meaningful display caught the attention of athletes, coaches, and visitors at the CaraGold billeting quarter — leaflets neatly laid out, carrying the soul of a division tucked in the far reaches of Northeastern Mindanao: the Schools Division of Dinagat Islands.
More than just paper and ink, these leaflets spoke of vision, values, and victories. Curated and shared by SDO Dinagat Islands, the materials presented the division’s innovations, flagship programs, and best practices, making the billeting site not just a resting place, but also a center of learning and sharing.
Each leaflet is a story of communities reached, learners uplifted, and educators empowered. From programs promoting efficiency in system delivery, to building future through digital innovation, to transformative means of dialogue and technical assistance, the collection painted a portrait of a division that may be geographically remote, but is never far behind in spirit and substance.
The initiative was rolled out under the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Florence E. Almaden and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Bryan L. Arreo, who both believed in visibility not just through participation, but also through inspiration.
This display of innovations also reinforced the idea that the Palarong Pambansa is more than a competition of physical prowess. It is a convergence of stories, identities, and aspirations. And in these leaflets, SDO Dinagat Islands shared its story — not with loud declarations, but with humble pride and honest work.
