Agusan Sur Elections: A resounding achievement in ensuring safety, peace
PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The Agusan del Sur elections resoundingly achieved in ensuring safety and peace. The recent election in Agusan del Sur on May 12 was said to be of exemplary standards towards safety, transparency and peaceful conduct.
This resounding achievement reflected the collaborative effort made by the Commision on Elections (COMELEC), other electoral authorities, security agencies like Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the force multipliers, the society, the citizens thereof and the PNP Press Corps who never skipped a minute giving public information before and during the election day onwards.
Under the guidance of the COMELEC and in coordination with the local government units (LGUs) of Agusan del Sur and the security agencies, the polling centers operated smoothly during the 2025 national and local elections (NLE), with no incidents reported.
“Our commitment has always been to ensure zero election-related incidents in Agusan del Sur. By strengthening security measures and working closely with our partner agencies, we successfully delivered on our promise of a safe and peaceful election for the Agusanons,” said Police Colonel Yahya Bustamante Yusup.
