Caraga, Davao Region, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused to ITCZ. Possible landslides or flashfloods due to moderate to at times heavy rains. Rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

Athletes of Dinagat Islands showed sports prowess in Caraga reg’l athletic games

DINAGAT ISLANDS -- Strongly supported by the provincial government of Dinagat Islands, the student - athletes of the Province of Dinagat Islands participated in this year's Caraga Regional Athletic Games on March 30-April 4 in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

The sports event highlighted the attendance of Hidilyn Diaz, athlete weightlifter who won the country's first-ever gold medal in the Olympics, who brought inspiration to the young sports players.

Dinagat Islands Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr. emphasized the importance of promoting local talent and sports. “This activity brings together athletes from different parts of the Caraga region to showcase their sporting prowess and talents and serve as a stepping stone for future success in national competitions,” he said.

Together with the officers from the provincial government were the personnel of the Department of Education - Dinagat Islands  headed by Schools Division Superintendent Florence Almaden. (Office of the Provincial Governor/PIA Dinagat Islands)
