Grade 12 students from Del Pilar National High School complete DICT Work Immersion
CAGDIANAO, Dinagat Islands – Some 13 of the Grade 12 ICT students from Del Pilar National High School (DPNHS) recently completed an 80-hour work immersion program with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga, through its Dinagat Islands Provincial Office.
This immersive experience provided students with essential skills for the digital age, strengthening their foundation in digital literacy, cybersecurity principles, and e-Government—key components in modernizing public services.
Beyond theoretical knowledge, the students gained hands-on experience in free Wi-Fi installation, utilization of office productivity tools, and operation of Government Emergency Communications System (GECS) equipment and devices. They also enhanced their digital presence by creating professional profiles using Canva, sharpening their creativity and design skills.
More than just technical training, the program instilled confidence, adaptability, and a sense of purpose, preparing students to navigate the evolving landscape of technology with competence and determination. The knowledge and skills they acquired will serve as a strong foundation for their future careers, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the digital transformation of society.
