544th Engineer Construction Battalion recognized as one of the Best Performing Battalions
AGUSAN DEL SUR – Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Ricky N. Baguio, civil engineer (CE) General Staff Corps (GSC) Philippine Army (PA), commanding officer of the 544th Engineer (Pioneers) Construction Battalion, 52nd Engineer Kaayadan Brigade, Philippine Army, received the plaque of recognition for the Best Performing Battalion of the 52nd Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army for Calendar Year 2024.
This was during the 88th Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Corps of Engineers (AFPCOE) anniversary celebration, held on February 26, 2025, at Tejeros Hall, AFP Commissioned Officers Country, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo.
The prestigious award was presented by Lieutenant General (LtGen.) Romeo S. Brawner Jr., AFP chief of staff, and Brigadier General (BGen.) Ulpiano T. Olarte, chief engineer, in recognition of the battalion’s outstanding performance, commitment to excellence, and significant contributions to national development projects and military engineering operations in its area of responsibility.
