LGUs with outstanding performances in employment facilitation shine at PESO Awards Night
BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga recognized the exceptional contributions of the local government unit through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in DOLE’s employment facilitation program during the PESO Year-End Performance Assessment (YEPA) Awards Night held recently at Almont Inland Resort and Convention Center, this city.
The PESO-YEPA Awards Night, an annual gathering of PESO managers and DOLE officials in Caraga region served as an opportunity to acknowledge the tireless efforts of PESO personnel and further strengthen partnerships in enhancing employment services across the region.
The event also highlighted the dedication of PESO managers in promoting job opportunities and supporting community development.
Awards were presented to local government units (LGUs) that demonstrated outstanding performance in implementing innovative employment initiatives and delivering effective services in major categories, such as Best in Referral and Placement, Best in Labor Market Information Implementation, Best in Career Coaching and Guidance, and Best in Livelihood Implementation.
The 2023 National and Regional Search for Best PESO finalists were also recognized.

In addition to the major awards, several minor awards were awarded, including Special Citations for the implementation of the Government Internship Program and the Special Program for the Employment of Students, as well as Certificates of Appreciation for conducting Technical Advisory Visits. The event also honored the implementation sites of the JobStart Philippines Program with Plaques of Appreciation.
