Coast Guard in Dinagat Islands participates in Himamat 2025

DINAGAT ISLANDS -- The Coast Guard Station Dinagat Islands (CGSDI) along with its Sub-Stations successfully participated in the Himamat 2025: A Candidates Forum, and Peace Covenant Signing across the entire province on 08 February initiated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) through the Dinagat Islands Police Provincial Office, in partnership with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Dinagat Provincial Office.

The said activity started with a unity walk followed by interfaith prayer rally, lighting of SAFE candles, candidates forum and peace covenant signing, serving as platforms for candidates to present their advocacies, plans and programs while fostering an atmosphere of respect, integrity, and accountability.

Moreover, the signing of the peace covenant reinforced the commitment of candidates and stakeholders to uphold peaceful, fair, and honest national and local elections on May 12, 2025, emphasizing the importance of unity and ethical leadership in the democratic process.

Also, through these initiatives, the community is encouraged to actively participate in nation-building by advocating for credible and violence-free elections.
