DOT-13 trains students of SOCOTECH

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- The Department of Tourism (DOT) Caraga in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) of Agusan del Sur recently concluded the training on Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) at the Southway College of Technology (SOCOTECH), San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

A total of 111 students from various courses of SOCOTECH namely Hospitality and Tourism Management students, Midwifery Education, and Accounting Business Management students completed the training.

The training session, facilitated by DOT Certified Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Resource Speaker Marian Jill D. Castrence provided an in-depth discussion of key topics, including the significance of the FBSE, the Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, Makabansa, Masayahin, May Bayanihan, at May Pagasa (7Ms) of Filipino Hospitality and Service, the Greet, Understand, Explain, Suggest, and Thank (G.U.E.S.T.) steps to achieving service excellence, the Attractions, Access, Accommodation, Amenities, and Activities  (5As) of Local Tourism, and the Help, Empathize, Apologize, Respond, and Thank (H.E.A.R.T.) approach to Service Recovery.

Through this comprehensive discussion, the students gained valuable insights into the core principles of Filipino hospitality and how to deliver exceptional service and contribute to the growth of the tourism industry. (DOT-Caraga/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
