MinDA among finalists in Globe Media Excellence Awards

BUTUAN CITY -- The 11th Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA@11) unveiled its lineup of finalists, showcasing outstanding storytelling that drove progress, empowered communities, and promoted sustainability. Among the distinguished nominees for the year 2024 was the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), maintaining its strong presence in digital storytelling.

MinDA has been nominated for the GMEA for the second year in a row. In 2023, two of its entries advanced to the finalist stage, with one securing the top prize for Best Social Media Video. Highlighting the Digital Storytelling category included entries in Best Blog Post and Best Social Media Video, with MinDA's work on bamboo development among the featured finalists.

Winners will receive cash prizes and trophies, with the top entries set to be announced this month of January 2025.

Minda: Driving change in Mindanao

Under the leadership of Secretary Leo Tereso Magno, MinDA has actively engaged with partners to drive transformative change in Mindanao. Through summits and forums, the agency has brought together industry leaders and farmers to collaboratively develop programs and projects aimed at creating meaningful impact.

Recent initiatives include the successful staging of the Infrastructure Summit, the Indigenous People’s Summit, and the recently concluded Farmers Summit. These platforms foster dialogue, cooperation, and actionable solutions for Mindanao's development.

MinDA also leverages its social media platforms to amplify these efforts, presenting authentic and inspiring stories about the region’s people, culture, and progress. (MinDA/PIA-Caraga)
