BUTUAN CITY -- More locally-made products from the micro, small and medium
enterprises (MSMEs) in the province of Agusan del Sur will be featured in the
upcoming event this year dubbed "Caraga Goes to Manila 3.0."
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Agusan del Sur Provincial Director
Marson Dolendo said that this event is designed to bring the province as part
of the region's vibrant culture and unique products to the nation’s capital.
This initiative seeks to attract investment opportunities for local and tribal
products, while showcasing the richness of Caraga’s cultural heritage.
“We assure the public that Agusan del Sur’s local entrepreneurs and their
products have much to offer—not only across the nation but to the global market
as well,” Dolendo added.
He explained that this is the 3rd time that Caraga has joined in the nationwide
activity and Agusan del Sur takes pride in producing new innovations and
products which will showcase the province's rich culture and abundance of
natural resources.
"Each municipality and city in the province has its own known industries,
and DTI will continue to work with our MSMEs to help them expand their produce,
increase their yield and profit. We are also partnering with other government
agencies to help us provide the necessary facilities and equipment for the
MSMEs through their respective programs," he shared.
"We are excited for our MSMEs for this year's Caraga Goes to Manila event.
DTI regional office and our provincial offices still have ongoing discussion on
how we can better boost the MSMEs' businesses. The event might take place in
the second semester, and other regions will also highlight their respective
MSMEs," said Dolendo.
This, he added, is in support of the" Buy Caraga by Caraga," which is
the region’s local trade exhibition for products exclusively produced in
Caraga.
"The MSMEs have been active in our engagements/events and we want them to
be known not only in our own country, but also on a wider market outside the
country," he said.
