(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Saturday, 19 July 2025) As of 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “CRISING” was located at 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.0°N, 128.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. Tropical Depression Crising is currently affecting Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the rest of Mindanao. Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD Crising. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rainfall. Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be moderate from the southwest to west, with moderate seas (wave height: 1.2 to 2.5 meters).

PRO13 awards 27 personnel 

BUTUAN CITY -- Twenty-seven uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of Police Regional Office (PRO)13 were given awards in recognition of their exemplary performance of duties during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on November 18. 

PRO13 Director Alan M. Nazarro, led the awarding ceremony alongside other members of the command group.

Medalya ng Kagalingan or PNP Medal of Merit was given to PCpt. Charlon M. Montero, PLt. Sherwin T. Ponio, PMSg. Jonnie T. Mariquit, PMSg. Jelmar B. Caburnay, PSSg. Ariel M. Deligero, PSSg. Brandon C. Castro, PSSg. Joel D. Lingganay, PSSg. Ruben S. Lingatong, PCpl. Mervin T. Mercado, PCpl. Arieston L. Japitana, and Pat Alexander G. Siega, for the apprehension of the regional no. 4 most wanted person identified as alias “Fran” in Barangay Consorcia, Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte, on November 7, 2024. 

The personnel of the PNP Maritime Group: PCol. Zaidee M. Daculug, PEMS Francisco A. Gaviola Jr., PCMS Felven B. Alegado, PMSg. Tyrone B. Enoc, Pat. Mariane Liezle A. Salik, Pat. Rashmaine O. Rasad, Pat. Phillip Nerl Q. Acaso, and Pat. Psych Jacob Garces received the Medalya ng Kagalingan for their successful police operation against smuggled cigarettes and loose firearms in Barangay Banza, Butuan City on October 28, 2024, that led to the arrest of alias “Rola” and the confiscation of a caliber .45 pistol with live ammunition, assorted smuggled cigarettes worth P241,800, and other personal belongings. 

Meanwhile, PLtCol. Glenn C. Sampaga, PMaj. Rannel C. Cayas, PCPpt. Noel C. Barde, PLt. Criselda B. Nalam, PCMS Aldwyn V. Laurente, PSSg. Erwin A. Ucang, and PCpl. Jason K. Rivera received Medalya ng Kasanayan or PNP Efficiency Medals for their collective efforts instrumental in the issuance of new assault rifles to various police units across the region based on the needs and risk assessment ensuring the operational readiness of the personnel and consequently towards the improvement of the overall unit performance evaluation rating in the logistical capability index of PRO13. 

NUP Rosemarie N. Ebol was awarded Medalya ng Papuri or PNP Commendation Medal for her efficiency, loyalty, and dedication in her duty as crime registrar for over eight years at Tago Municipal Police Station in Surigao del Sur.
