Agusan Sur statistical office launches Rehistro Bulilit

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- In a significant step toward ensuring inclusive national identification, the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Agusan del Sur recently launched the "Rehistro Bulilit" campaign, a focused drive aimed at registering children aged 1 to 4 for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

This initiative is a response to the growing need for early documentation of the youngest members of the community, ensuring they are recognized as part of the nation’s official demographic.

The campaign was launched with a series of registration activities in collaboration with the local Daycare Center in Barangay La Caridad, Prosperidad, aiming to expand throughout the province in the coming months.

During the two-day campaign, some 37 children aged 1 to 4 years old were registered, along with 64 individuals aged 5 and above, resulting in a total of 101 registrations.

The "Rehistro Bulilit" campaign not only aims to increase the number of registered children but also addresses the common issues faced by parents who have yet to receive their National ID cards despite completing the registration process. The campaign emphasizes the importance of early registration and the long-term benefits it will bring to the children and their families.

"We recognize the challenges posed by logistics and accessibility, especially in remote areas. That is why we are committed to bringing the registration process directly to the communities, making it easier for parents and guardians to register their children and for senior citizens to be included in the system," said Ronald Rodica, provincial focal person for PhilSys.

During the kick-off of “Rehistro Bulilit” Campaign in Agusan del Sur: Ensuring Early PhilSys Registration for Children, the PSO staff also facilitated the conduct of parlor games in Barangay La Caridad, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur on 23 to 24 August.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Agusan del Sur and barangay Officials of La Caridad, highlighting the community’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that every Filipino, regardless of age, has access to the benefits of the National ID system. As the "Rehistro Bulilit" campaign continues to gain momentum, the PSO encourages all parents and guardians to take advantage of this opportunity to secure their children’s future by registering them with PhilSys.
