Tandag City launches free Wi-Fi

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur (PIA) – The city government of Tandag in Surigao del Sur announced its free Wi-Fi facility in several key locations of the city, enhancing digital connectivity for its residents and visitors.

On August 31, a ceremonial launching was conducted for the Free Wi-Fi for All Program at North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) - main campus, along with the turnover of laptops under Project CLICK (Courses For Literacy On Internet And Computer Knowledge) of the the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Representing Mayor Roxanne Pimentel, Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Andrei Andresan expressed gratitude to the DICT and 1st District Congressional Representative Romeo S. Momo Sr. for their support in making this initiative a reality.

Andresan  emphasized the significant benefits of free Wi-Fi for the community, including enhanced access to online resources for education, communication, and public services.

Powered by advanced satellite technology from Starlink, the free Wi-Fi is now accessible at various strategic locations such as the Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center, public schools, government offices, and community centers across Tandag City.
