Army, youth org in Agusan Sur bolster partnership

SIBAGAT, Agusan del Sur – Lieutenant Colonel Ray Anthony A. Sisican, the battalion commander of the 65th Infantry (Stalwart) Battalion, recently conducted a formal courtesy call on Roselyn B. Antiga, youth president of Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through our Youth (POINTY) Inc. Regions 10 and 13.

The meeting strengthened the ties and explored opportunities for collaboration between the military and the youth sector.

Held at the 65 Infantry Battalion (IB) Headquarters in Barangay Poblacion, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, the discussion focused on key issues such as community development, leadership, and youth empowerment programs. 

The courtesy call also marked a significant step toward fostering a cooperative relationship between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the youth, with a shared goal of uplifting and supporting the local community.

Antiga expressed her gratitude for the visit and emphasized the importance of collaboration between different sectors. She welcomed the gesture from the 65IB and expressed optimism about future joint efforts. 

“We look forward to working together to inspire the youth to take on greater roles in community service and leadership,” she said.

The meeting concluded with both leaders expressing their commitment to collaborate on future projects aimed at promoting peace, security, and positive youth engagement.
