Independent committee evaluates 4Ps in Lanuza town
LANUZA, Surigao del Sur (PIA) -- A three-day field visit to Lanuza, Surigao del Sur was conducted by the Regional Independent Monitoring Committee (RIMC) on August 28-30 to assess the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Lanuza Mayor Marvin Azarcon welcomed the team as support to the objective evaluation and to address challenges of the program.
During their visit, the committee toured the schools and health centers and interacted directly with the community to gauge the program's impact. They facilitated focus group discussions with the 4Ps parent- leaders and conducted interviews with stakeholders and staff to identify challenges and areas for improvement.
The committee also committed to enhance the healthcare services of the community, including the improvement of the delivery of services to achieve better health outcomes.
They also agreed to support the relocation of the 4Ps Municipal Operations Office (MOO) to a nearby area for better accessibility and coordination.
The said activity reinforced the commitment to ensuring the 4Ps program in Lanuza town to effectively meet the community’s needs. (NGPB, PIA-Surigao del Sur)
