DSWD, CSU ink agreement in SLP implementation

BUTUAN CITY -- To bolster the implementation of the programs and services of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, together with Caraga State University (CSU), marked a new partnership by signing the Memorandum of Agreement [MOA] on August 9 at Dotties Place Hotel, this city.

CSU commits to actively engage in the exploration, transmission, and advancement of knowledge and capacity-building of the qualified SLP beneficiaries and staff.

DSWD Field Office Caraga Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Jean Paul Parajes, emphasized the significance of the partnership in implementing the programs of SLP.

"This newly formed union will surely play a crucial role in accomplishing the program's objectives. CSU's proficiency in training, research, and community involvement harmonize with our diligence and endeavor to uplift the socio-economic status of Caraganons," Parajes remarked.

This momentous event was held during the conduct of SLP's Sulong Dunong: School of Leadership and Project Management Module 1 training, which aims to enhance the proposal-making skills and financial literacy of the program's coordinators and other personnel across the region.
