DTI Agusan Norte trains sari-sari store owners on digital business

BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Agusan del Norte, through the Negosyo Center Butuan City, commenced the Sari-Sari Store Advancement Program (SSSAP) known as “Tindahan Mo, e-Level Up Mo” with its first module session dubbed as "e-Level Up ang Negosyo" on July 3.

Twelve sari-sari store owners or the ‘saripreneurs’ from various barangays in Butuan City attended the session, gaining valuable insights on enhancing their businesses.

The key topics of the first session highlighted the opportunities for businesses through digital services and cashless payments, including the benefits of using Superstore App via Packworks, an app that offers promo, loyalty rewards, direct delivery, and more for the saripreneurs.

They also stressed the importance of business registration to access DTI services such as financial services, business counseling, mentoring, and market access.

Another session is set on July 24, 2024 to equip saripreneurs with essential knowledge that will help them in their journey towards business advancement and sustainability.

The Sari-sari Store Advancement Program (SSSAP) is initiated by the DTI to strengthen the business operations of sari-sari stores through the integration of digitalization in pursuing a sustainable business practice. This program aims to level-up sari-sari stores that comprise the majority of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines. (DTI-Agusan del Norte/PIA-Caraga)
