2 secondary school in Surigao Norte top the EntrepreKnow Quiz
SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte (PIA) -- In celebration of MSME Month, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Surigao del Norte successfully hosted the EntrepreKnow Quiz Show on July 8 in Surigao City.
The event showcased the exceptional knowledge and skills of students from various schools in the province, with Surigao del Norte National High School and Caraga Regional Science High School emerging as standout performers.
The quiz show featured multiple rounds of challenging questions covering Republic Act No. 9501 or the Magna Carta for micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs), MSME-related information, DTI and other agencies’ MSME development programs, and the like. Also, the participants demonstrated remarkable smartness and quick thinking, leading to a competitive and exciting event.
Among the 18 participants coming from the 10 participating schools in Surigao del Norte, Allan 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 D. Ursabia of Surigao del Norte National High School (SNNHS) earned 1st place in the competition, Jannah R. Jabay of Caraga Regional Science High School (CRSHS) secured the 2nd place and Nicole O. Estrada also from SNNHS earned the 3rd place.
In his message, DTI Surigao del Norte Provincial Director Arnold D. Faelnar emphasized the importance of fostering entrepreneurial skills and knowledge among the youth, as they are crucial for the future economic development of the region.
He also expressed his gratitude to the teachers, mentors, and organizers who contributed to the success of the event.
The EntrepreKnow Quiz Show 2024 marked another successful initiative of DTI Surigao del Norte that promoted entrepreneurship education and awareness among young individuals.
