(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Sunday, 07 December 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Matuguinao, Samar (12.2°N 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Engineering Battalion in Agusan Sur receives award from prov’l gov’t

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- The 544th Engineer (PIONEERS) Construction Battalion was honored with a prestigious Plaque of Appreciation by the provincial government of Agusan del Sur during the 57th Founding Anniversary celebration of the province on June 17. 

The award, presented by Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr., recognized the battalion's exceptional contributions to the successful Caraga Regional Athletic Games (CRAG) 2024, held at the Datu Lipus Makapandong Gov. Democrito O. Plaza Sports Complex as the host province on May 5-11.

The ceremony was attended by local government officials and employees, community leaders, stakeholders, and other national government agencies. The award was received by Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Ricky N. Baguio, commanding officer, ably represented by LTC Allain S. Fuentes, executive officer of the unit, who highlighted the battalion's unwavering service and dedication to support the province of Agusan del Sur.

The 57th Founding Anniversary of Agusan del Sur is a momentous occasion, marked by various activities and celebrations that reflect the province's rich cultural heritage and achievements.
