Wage board in Caraga trains hospital on good housekeeping
Butuan City – In its continuous effort to promote productivity in the workplace, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Caraga conducted a seminar workshop on 7S of Good Housekeeping to 29 personnel of Hipol Family Hospital, Brgy. Bancasi, Butuan City.
Board Secretary Earl D. Dela Victoria, together with Atty. Lorainne
Sacote, Cornelius Mahinay, and Sarah May Dahuyla shared with the medical team
of Hipol Family Hospital the importance of good housekeeping in maintaining a
safe and healthy workforce.
“This workshop seminar teaches you on how to sustain an organized work
area and safety in the workplace. This 7S of Good Housekeeping has been proven
to improve not only a person’s physical environment, but also in improving
one’s thinking process. As Hipol Family Hospital sets to operate soon, we hope
that you will remember and apply strictly the things you will learn today, not
only in your workplace but in your individual households as well,” Dela
Victoria said to the participants.
Hospital Administrator Blanche Cubillas expressed her appreciation to
RTWPB Caraga for its continuous support to the establishments in the region.
“I once attended a session of RTWPB’s 7S of Good Housekeeping and I have
seen and witnessed how this changed not only the physical appearance of a
workplace, but the productivity of the workers as well,” Cubillas added.
At the end of the workshop, Hipol Family Hospital was tasked to establish their 7S committee to ensure that good housekeeping is regularly maintained and well-monitored. Moreover, medical personnel were oriented on how to create an action plan to identify areas for improvement in their workplace.
The 7S of Good Housekeeping is included in RTWPB’s productivity toolbox which focuses on optimizing the physical workplace for efficiency, effectiveness, and safety. The 7S stands for sort, systematize, sweep, standardize, safety, self-discipline, and sustain. (LDS,RTWPB-Caraga/PIA-Caraga)
