Comelec-13 brings voter’s registration to Dinagat Islands

BUTUAN CITY (PIA) – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Caraga through its provincial office in Dinagat Islands conducted a comprehensive Voter's Education and Registration Fair  2024 on May 17 at Don Ruben E. Ecleo Sr. Memorial National High School (DREESMNHS) in San Jose town.

The activity is under the Register Anywhere Program of Comelec to ensure effective participation of the Dinagatnons in the national and local elections in May 2025. The activity also informed the locals of the place on  the significant updates and changes in the electoral process.

Some 678 participants comprising of junior and senior high school students of Don Ruben Ecleo Sr. Memorial National High School, Don Ruben Ecleo Sr. Memorial College, local officials and partner agencies joined in the Voter's Education and Registration Fair.

The energetic senior high school students showcased their talents and performed their graduation song incorporating the Comelec tagline on "Karapatang Bumoto Simulan sa Pagpaparehistro.

Also in attendance were Comelec main office personnel Joselito L. Gerardino, together with Comelec Caraga Assistant Regional Election Director Geraldine C. Samson, and Comelec – Dinagat Islands personnel headed by Atty. Riza Ann Donalyn B. Culima-Constantino. (RLE/PIA-Dinagat Islands)
