Business owners train with ‘Grow Digital’

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur (PIA) -- Around 75 business owners from Bislig City who were mostly micro and small enterprises underwent Grow Digital held at the Bislig Highlands in Bislig City on May 8.

The activity formed part of the Go Digital Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) 2 Project which is designed to empower micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the emerging workforce with essential digital skills for business growth by harnessing the full potential of the digital economy.

The project accordingly is implemented by The Asia Foundation with support from Google.org - Google’s philanthropic arm.

The Grow Digital - Bislig City leg, in partnership with the city government of Bislig, is the 38th training session conducted since the beginning of the year and has empowered around 200 MSMEs in the Caraga region.

The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) is pushing for an enhanced Mindanao Development Agenda 2023-2028 wherein digitalization and innovation are relevant components. Together with the partner agencies, MinDA strives to facilitate projects that will improve Mindanao’s digital infrastructure such as faster internet and improved transport and logistics systems so that all the sectors can participate and flourish. (MinDA/NGPB,PIA-Surigao del Sur)
