(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Saturday, 19 July 2025) As of 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “CRISING” was located at 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.0°N, 128.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. Tropical Depression Crising is currently affecting Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the rest of Mindanao. Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD Crising. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rainfall. Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be moderate from the southwest to west, with moderate seas (wave height: 1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Election office in Butuan City to conduct voter registration anywhere

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Butuan City is set to hold its Register Anywhere Program (RAP) and Senior Citizens Week at Robinsons Place, Butuan City on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 8:00AM to 5:00PM, in preparation for the 2025 national and local elections.

Through COMELEC Resolution No. 10963 which pertains to the rules and regulations on the conduct of the system of continuing registration of voters for the national and local elections, it has authorized the COMELEC Butuan City to conduct satellite voter registration in malls, barangays, and other public and private establishments to ensure wider voter participation. RAP is scheduled monthly as an innovative solution to ensure that voters living outside of their hometown can still register at the highly urbanized cities and key cities, including Butuan City.

Interested applicants should personally appear before the election officer, provide the necessary information required and present any of the following identification documents:

1.  National identification card under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys)

2.  Postal ID

3.  Person with disability ID card

4.  Student ID or library card, signed by school authority

5.  Senior citizen ID card

6.  LTO driver’s license / student permit

7.  NBI clearance

8.  Philippine passport

9.  SSS, GSIS or other unified multipurpose ID card

10. IBP ID card

11. License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission

12. Certificate issued by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) for members of the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs)

13. Barangay ID / certification with photo

14. Any other government issued valid ID

The same aforementioned IDs will be used for applicants who wish to transfer within and outside Butuan City.

However, cedula and police clearance shall not be honored for registration purposes.

The next RAP and satellite schedule will be on April 20, 2024 from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at SM City Butuan. Additional schedules will be announced anytime.
