PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- In the wake of the recent devastating floods that left the province of Agusan del Sur grappling with unprecedented challenges, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 headed by Police Brigadier General Kirby John Brion Kraft, regional director, together with the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) headed by Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director, took immediate action to provide relief and support to those affected by the flooding brought about by the shear line and trough of the low pressure area (LPA).
As part of the Philippine National Police's (PNP) commitment to community welfare, the police force of Caraga distributed essential relief goods to alleviate the hardships faced by the flood victims.
These relief packages include rice, canned goods and twin packs of coffee. The Agsurnon cops also distributed four sacks of used clothing raised from the ADSPPO Project dubbed "Panapton, Butang ug Bado ko, Makanmo" (PBBM).
“Kauban sa among mga stakeholders, kami padayon nga maghatag og assistance ug suporta tungod kay among kalipay ang magserbisyo kaninyo (With the different stakeholders, we will continue to provide the necessary aid and support because we are more than happy to serve you),” said Kraft.
"Sa panahon ng krisis, napakahalaga na magsama-sama tayo bilang isang komunidad upang suportahan ang isa't-isa. Kami, ang inyong kapulisan ay handang tumulong sa abot ng aming makakaya kahit anong oras man yan (During this time of crisis, it is important that we unite as one community, supporting each other. We are your police man and women, ready to help you anytime),” Canlapan remarked.
This is in line with the process excellence perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the objective, improve human rights-based, community and service-oriented policing. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
