(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Saturday, 19 July 2025) As of 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “CRISING” was located at 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.0°N, 128.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. Tropical Depression Crising is currently affecting Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the rest of Mindanao. Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD Crising. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rainfall. Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be moderate from the southwest to west, with moderate seas (wave height: 1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Agusanon nahimong outstanding vet sa nasod

DAKBAYAN SA BUTUAN -- Nadawat ni Dr. Joseph P. Dargantes ang prestihiyoso’ng 2024 Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) Outstanding Veterinarian in Rural and Extension Service Award atol sa gihimo’ng 91st PVMA Scientific Conference and Annual Convention niadtong Pebrero 21-23, 2024 sa Bacolod City.

Ang maong award kang Dr. Dargantes nag-ila sa iyang “dedication ug exemplary performance” isip Veterinary IV sa Provincial Veterinary Office sa Agusan del Norte diin tungod kaniya nahimogso ang One Health Rabies Program sa nasod.

Sa tabang ni Paul Cupay sa MIS Division sa Provincial Governor’s Office, iyang gimugna ang Rabies Management Information System (RabMIS), usa ka computer information system nga naga-record, store ug nagamentinar og databases sa veterinary ug human compartments sa One Health Rabies Program. 

Sulod sa 20 ka tuig matod pa, gididikar ni Dargantes ang iyang kahanas sa iyang propisyon  sa serbisyo publiko pinaagi sa pakigtambayayong sa mga animal raisers dinhi sa probinsya.

Aktibo ang maong veterinarian sa veterinary research isip usa sa mga pioneering trainees sa nasod mahitungod sa Applied Veterinary Epidemiology Training (AVET). Nakuha niini ang Interrisk International Master’s Degree nga nga gi-offer sa Thailand’s Kasetsart University ug France’s Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse sa suporta sa CIRAD (French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development).
