(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Friday, 05 December 2025) At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data at 180 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.7°N 127.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). Over 1,000 jobs await DOLE-13’s mega job fair

BUTUAN CITY – In celebration of the 90th Founding Anniversary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the regional office in Caraga region will be conducting a Mega Job Fair on December 1, 2023 at Robinsons Place, this city. 

Anchored on the theme, “DOLE@90: Serbisyong Mabilis at Matapat sa Bagong Pilipinas,” more than 1,000 jobs are up for grabs from the 35 local and five overseas employers on Friday.  

Kadiwa ng Pangulo Para sa Manggagaawa and Livelihood Fair will simultaneously be conducted on the same venue, displaying products of the seven farmer associations all over Caraga, including beneficiaries of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP). 

DOLE Caraga Regional Director Atty. Joffrey M. Suyao, encouraged job seekers, especially fresh graduates, to visit the Mega Job Fair for an opportunity to be Hired-on-the-Spot (HOTS). 

Moreover, Dir. Suyao reminded the job seekers to bring the necessary requirements, such as resume and Personal Data Sheet, in preparation for their job interviews. 

“We, in DOLE, are doing our best to invite employers with vacancies tailor-fit to the demand of the jobseekers. With the rate of unemployment at 5.1%, let us continuously work together to provide decent work to all Caraganons,”  Suyao added. 

National agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will likewise be participating in the event to provide assistance through the one-stop-shop.

The Mega Job Fair and Kadiwa ng Pangulo Para sa Manggagawa will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (LDS, ALI/LEO III, DOLE-Caraga/PIA-Caraga)
