(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Saturday, 19 July 2025) As of 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “CRISING” was located at 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.0°N, 128.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. Tropical Depression Crising is currently affecting Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the rest of Mindanao. Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD Crising. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rainfall. Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be moderate from the southwest to west, with moderate seas (wave height: 1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Agusan del Sur police holds case conference

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) under the leadership of provincial director Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, convened for a case conference for the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) “SINGH,” at the ADSPPO Kabalikat Hall in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, this province.

The conference was attended by ADSPPO quad staff unit chiefs and personnel, including Police Lieutenant Colonel Gilbert Papa, ADS Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT), Police Major Bryan Cres Campos of ADS Provincial Forensics Unit (PFU), Police Master Sergeant Rey Maravilla of Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 13, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Talip of Regional Legal Service 13, Police Lieutenant Colonel Shalom Faye Cornelio, COP, and Police Staff Sergeant Rey Pagaura, investigator, both representing Bayugan Component City Police Station (CCPS). 

The activity highlighted the presentation of the investigation updates, assessment and intervention initiatives of Bayugan CCPS under PLt.Col. Cornelio, together with PSSg. Pagaura, investigator on case. Further, included in the discussion was the comprehensive overview of shooting incidents that transpired from January to November 2023 and was presented by Police Lieutenant Colonel Vitaliano Pagaran III.

In order to foster meaningful discussions and engagement, an open forum was made as a platform for in-depth inquiries and the exchange of valuable insights.
