DOLE-13 releases over P1M livelihood assistance in Loreto
LORETO, Agusan del Sur – In its continuous commitment to aid the people in combating poverty and economic slowdown, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Agusan del Sur Field Office (ADSFO) released over P1 million worth of government assistance in the municipality of Loreto, Agusan del Sur.
A total of
P885,440 worth of livelihood grant was given to New Guitas Farmers Association,
while a total of Ph199,500 was released to 57 beneficiaries under the Tulong
Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program of DOLE. In addition
to the release of government assistance, a Proposal Making Workshop was
conducted to 29 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries.
The simultaneous activities were attended by municipal managers and officials of the local government unit of Loreto, who were thereafter introduced to the new ADSFO OIC, Buhawe Corvera-Correa.

livelihood grant inspire you to take a leap to elevate your economic status,”
Correa shared.

PESO manager designate reminded the beneficiaries to not depend on the
government assistance alone, rather take it as an avenue to alleviate their
present circumstance.

Lozada, president of the New Guitas Farmers Association shared his gratitude to
DOLE for the new opportunity granted to their association saying, “Rest assured
that our association will take care of the materials and sustain the livelihood
granted to us."
The members of
the New Guitas Farmers Association received four units of mudboat tiller, five
units of 7hp-10hp diesel engine-coupled air-cooled water pump, and a unit of
mechanical corn planter for their rice and corn production, while 57 TUPAD
beneficiaries received P3,500 worth of salaries for their 10-day work rendered,
while the 29 4Ps graduates were able to craft their individual livelihood
proposal to avail of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
