Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains. Rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to north prevails over the eastern section with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.5 meters). Elsewhere, light to moderate winds from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

LGU-Carrascal concludes search for gulayan in schools

CARRASCAL, Surigao del Sur -- The 2023 Search for Gulayan sa Paaralan - Agricultural Youth to Enhance Knowledge on Vegetable Production (GP- AYEK) Carrascal completed on October 10, 2023 in Carrascal town.

The adjudicators of the competition also endorsed one potential qualifier for the provincial level. 

This initiative was made possible through the effort of Governor Alexander T. Pimentel, as facilitated by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg), that encouraged the youth to engage in farming and to address malnutrition among school- learners in elementary and secondary levels. This program paved for the school to have an income-generating project (IGP) for replication purposes.

These schools in Carrascal, categorized as big schools by the Department of Education (DepEd) Surigao del Sur Division, participated in the healthy competition namely, Adlay Community School (ACS), Panikian National High School (PNHS), Carrascal National High School (CarNHS), and Carrascal Central Elementary School (CCES).
