Caraga police turns over newly issued equipment, mobility assets to police units

BUTUAN CITY -- Under the 2023 PNP Capability Enhancement Program, PBGen. Kirby John B. Kraft, Police Regional Office (PRO) - 13 director, led the blessing and turnover of the newly issued mobility assets and equipment on Monday.

PRO - 13 had nine personnel carriers, one patrol jeep single cab, 171 units of undershirt vests, 57 units of enhanced combat helmets, 57 units of tactical vests, 267 units of raincoats, and 50 units of caliber 5.56 Emtan rifles.

The patrol cars were distributed to the regional mobile force battalion, Agusan del Norte police provincial office (PPO), Santiago municipal police station (MPS), Agusan del Sur PPO, three provincial mobile force companies, San Francisco MPS, San Luis MPS, Talocogon MPS, Surigao del Norte PPO, Surigao del Sur PPO, Bislig MPS, and Tagbina MPS.

Meanwhile, the firearms and other equipment were given to high-risk stations and personnel, especially those insurgency-affected areas in the region.

“These assets will capacitate our police units to become more efficient and effective in the conduct of law enforcement functions, police operations, and other crime prevention and solution initiatives,” Dir. Kraft concluded.

The regional pastoral officer, PMaj. Lorenzo R. Ruga, officiated the blessing in the presence of the PRO-13 command group and other guests. (PRO-13/PIA Caraga)
