DSWD-13 turns over health station facility to Barangay Hinagdanan in Tagbina
TAGBINA, Surigao del Sur -- The upgraded and improved Barangay Health Station, with project cost of P705,493, was successfully turned over by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga, and the local government unit of Tagbina, Surigao del Sur to the barangay LGU of Hinagdanan on August 29, 2023.
The said project was implemented by the DSWD under the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa
Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services
(KALAHI-CIDSS), in partnership with the LGU-Tagbina under the leadership of
Mayor Glaiza Jane Polizon-Lanete.
According to Glenn Lazaro, private secretary of the LGU, the improvement of the
47.79 sq.m health station consisted of two units of comfort rooms, two-room
partition, four units of folding beds, medical tools and amenities, which will
benefit the 234 households in the community.
Hinagdanan Punong Barangay Carlos Luchavez, was overwhelmed as he thanked the
national and municipal governmenst for choosing their barangay as the recipient
of the said project. He acknowledged the community as well, for the time and
effort for the successful completion of the facility,
Meanwhile, the KALAHI-CIDSS is one of the poverty alleviation programs of DSWD
that uses the community-driven development approach for achieving service
delivery, poverty reduction and good governance outcomes. (photo credit to:
