(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Sunday, 07 December 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Matuguinao, Samar (12.2°N 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

VMLP convenes in San Francisco town

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- Mayor Grace Carmel Paredes-Bravo of the local government unit of San Francisco in Agusan del Sur, led the Mayor's Night of the 2023 Caraga Regional Convention of the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines, which was held in Camp Madigun, Barangay Alegria, San Francisco Agusan del Sur on July 3, 2023.

Mayor Grace expressed her gratitude to the organizers and members of the VMLP for choosing the municipality of San Francisco as the venue for this significant event. 

"We have long been wanting to have conferences and activities where people from different provinces may come, so that people will get up close to our province," Mayor Bravo said.

Mayor Bravo also took the opportunity to thank Vice Mayor Arth Ryan Palabrica, as well as all the vice mayors in the Caraga region. She commended their unwavering commitment and exceptional leadership in leading the Sangguniang Bayan.

"I also want to take this opportunity to thank our vice mayor, Arth Ryan Palabrica, and all of you on behalf of all the local chief executives for the commitment and leadership you provided in the Sannguniang Bayan, which resulted to the passing of ordinances, resolutions, and actions that would be beneficial to the needs of the municipality," she added.

The event was also attended by the congressional representatives of Agusan del Sur namely, 2nd District Cong. Adolph Edward 'Ediebong' G. Plaza and 1st District Cong. Alfelito M.
