Pagwakas sa CTG recuitment sa kabataan, tinalakay

LUNGSOD NG BUTUAN -- Upang maiwasan na maging biktima sa panlilinlang ng communist terrorist group, nakiisa ang mga kabataan sa rehiyon Caraga sa isinagawang virtual forum na pinamagatang, "Freedom Talks: A Forum on Identity, Youth Empowerment and CTG Exploitation," na pinangunahan ng Situational Awareness and Knowledge Management (SAKM) Cluster at Strategic Communications (StratCom) Cluster ng Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict o RTF-ELCAC noong Hulyo 17, 2023 sa Zoom platform.

Naging mainit ang talakayan sa mga hakbang at kaalaman tungkol sa ginagawang paglilinlang at pagsamantala ng CTG sa mga vulnerable na sektor sa lipunan katulad sa mga kabataan, mga miyembro ng LGBTQIA+, kababaihan, indigenous peoples (IP) at iba pa,. 

Ninais nga kapwa SAKM at STRATCOM clusters na matuldukan na ang pagre-recruit ng CTG sa mga kabataan na madalas nagiging biktima rin ng karahasan.

Nagsilbing resource speakers ang mga representative mula sa lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, at asexual + (LGBTQIA+) community, Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), representante na mula sa North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU)-Cantilan, Surigao del Sur at ng National Cadre Team na naging mas dynamic ang diskusyon sa open forum. 

Samantala, pinasalamatan naman ni regional director Edsel Batalla bilang chairperson ng SAKM cluster ng RTF-ELCAC ang mga kabataang kalahok sa kanilang kontribusyon at magandang gawi upang mailigtas ang ibang kabataan sa exploitation ng CTGs.

“To empower our youth, we must invest in their education. We should equip them with the knowledge, skills and critical thinking needed to make informed decisions. We must also encourage their participation in the decision-making process of our nation and listen to their ideas and concerns,” tugon ni Dir. Batalla.

Binahagi rin ni regional director Venus Garcia ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga at chairperson ng StratCom cluster ng RTF-ELCAC, ang kahalagahan ng patuloy na koordinasyon ng iba't ibang sektor upang masiguro ang proteksyon lalo na ng mga kabataan laban sa panlilinlang at exploitation ng CTG.

“Kami po sa PIA Caraga at kabuoang StratComm Cluster have fully utilized our different communication and information dissemination platforms so everyone may know that we have a loving government that is ready and excited to welcome and embrace those who are willing to be unchained from the bondage with the enemy so they can live in peace with their families and loved ones in mainstream society.
