(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Monday, 02 October 2023) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "JENNY" {KOINU} was estimated based on all available data at 675 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.8°N, 128.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 150 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 10 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur will experience Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Trough of TS Jenny / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds coming from Southwest to West will prevail with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.1 meters).

LGU Cantilan holds medical caravan 

CANTILAN, Surigao del Sur - The local government unit of Cantilan, Surigao del Sur headed by Mayor Philip A. Pichay, through the Municipal Health Office and Family Planning Center in coordination with the 36IB Bravo Company of the Philippine Army, conducted a Medical Caravan dubbed  “Hatud Serbisyo sa mga Cantilangnon” on June 2, 2023 in Barangay General Island, Cantilan town.

The Medical Caravan offers a comprehensive health care services which are made available to the most vulnerable sectors of the community such as, medical consultation, dental services, bloodletting, Covid-19 vaccination, and distribution of free vitamins, medicines, and hygiene kits.

With the implementation of the caravan, the Municipal Health Office of Cantilan has demonstrated its compassion and commitment to the constituents by bridging the gap between communities and essential services. By bringing government programs and services directly to the identified communities, the caravan strives to enhance public access, efficient delivery of services and responsive assistance to communities in need.
